liveable or no?
Laval is very liveable with many positive aspects but also a couple of challenges.
There are many spectacular things about Laval. First, there are many interesting and festive cultural events that occur in Laval throughout the year, such as 'Laval en Blanc' and 'Grand Fête des Pompiers'! I would definitely attend Laval en Blanc if I lived in Laval; it looks very beautiful, and very fun. It is something I could look forward to in the gloomy, dark season of winter.
Also, Laval has excellent weather! In my personal opinion, I love the warm and sunny weather. As Laval is situated in the southeastern climate region (which is closer to the equator) it receives warmer weather than most cities in Canada. This weather would be perfect for a summer-loving person like me!
Another reason I would like to live in Laval is the growing economy. Laval has a variety of industries and a high employment rate. The great fertile soil in Laval, allows for occupations in the agricultural sector. This would give me a variety of choices for which sector of work I would like to work in as well as, getting a job more easily.
Finally, there are many amazing places to visit with my family and friends, such as, Carrefour Laval and Le Center de la Nature. Carrefour Laval contains a huge variety of stores, restaurants, and boutiques! I have been to big Carrefour Laval when I visited my relatives and it is one of my favorite malls! Le Center de la Nature seems like a peaceful and enjoyable place where you can get back to nature. I would love to go there and explore the lush, stunning greenery.
There a few complications in Laval. One of the challenges is the huge dependency load that will be upon us in the future. This would put a lot of pressure on society to provide things such as, resources, healthcare and energy. This could cause a rise in taxes and a older retirement age.
Another challenge I would experience if I moved there is the language. Most people in Laval speak French and I do not speak or understand French fluently. It would be hard living in a place where you don't understand the language very well.
In conclusion, for all these reasons, I would like to live in Laval. There are many positive aspects, ranging from its wonderful cultural events to warm weather to overcome the minor challenges.
