Sustainability
Laval is a not very sustainable due to the manufacturing of products. The creation of wood products such as, furniture, cause a cause a lot of trees to be cut which could lead to a shortage of trees in the future.
Also, products such as, a roof shingles and cars, are made of minerals that need to be extracted from the ground. In the process of mining, harmful mine tailings could affect nearby ecosystems and bodies of fresh water. In order to increase sustainability in Laval, we have to be mindful of how we affect the environment and how to protect it. In Laval, mining has significantly decreased so, less environments are harmed by mine tailings. Also, we have to be careful of what we have and how much we can use. In order to maintain the amount of trees, trees should get replanted for every tree that was cut. This is so that future generations can continue to live with a plentiful amount of resources and vivid landscapes. |
